We have been listening. And we have been building.

Two features that teachers, students, and administrators across Kenya have been asking for are now live on Cloud School System. You do not need a new app. You do not need a separate login. They are sitting right inside the platform your school already uses.

Here is what changed, what it does, and how to start using it today.

Lesson Scheduling: Every Lesson, Planned and Recorded

Teaching without a record of what has been covered is guesswork. A teacher starts the term with a full syllabus. By week six, without a tracking system, nobody is entirely sure which topics the class has covered and which ones got skipped.

The Lesson Scheduling module fixes that. Every lesson gets logged. Every topic gets marked as covered or pending. The record lives in the cloud, not in a notebook that gets lost at the end of term.

What teachers can do now

  • Log lesson plans before class and mark them complete after
  • Track syllabus coverage per class, per subject, and per teacher
  • Update records from a phone, tablet, or laptop, whether at school or at home
  • Give school leadership a live view of curriculum progress across all classes

This module sits inside the same Academic Suite your school already uses for grades, report cards, and timetabling. Nothing new to learn. The interface is familiar. The benefit is immediate.

  NEW FEATURE 02

LMS: A Full Online Learning Module, Built Into Your School

The new Learning Management System is a complete online learning environment. It lives inside Cloud School System. No third-party app. No separate subscription for the core module. No switching between platforms.

It gives your school four new capabilities.

1. Assignments and quizzes, digital from start to finish

Teachers build assessments inside the system, set deadlines, and send them to specific classes or groups. Students submit online. Teachers mark online. Every submission, every score, and every deadline is tracked automatically. No printed papers. No missing worksheets.

2. Notes and video lessons students can access anytime

Teachers upload typed notes or recorded video lessons. Students access them at any time, from any device. For students who missed a class, need to revise before an exam, or learn better at their own pace, this matters a great deal.

3. Short courses, paid or free, for staff and students

Any teacher or department head can create a structured short course inside the system. Set it as free for all students, or price it for external learners. Schools that create strong course content now have a direct way to share it, and earn from it, without leaving the platform.

This is a new income stream that most Kenyan schools have not had access to before. See the full list of what is possible on the modules page.

4. AI helps students revise what they got wrong

When a student fails a quiz or assignment, the built-in AI steps in. It focuses specifically on the questions the student got wrong and helps them work through the material again. The help is targeted, not generic. It is available at any hour. And it does not require the teacher to be online.

This is one of the more significant additions to Cloud School System’s features. It reduces the gap between students who get extra help and those who do not.

Who benefits

Teachers:  Less time marking physical papers. Instant sight of who submitted and who did not. One click to share revision notes with the whole class.

Students:  They learn at their own pace. When they struggle, the AI focuses on the exact area they are stuck on. No more generic revision guides that cover everything and help with nothing.

  500+ SCHOOLS

Why Kenyan Schools Trust Cloud School System

Cloud School System works in over 500 schools across Kenya. Private primary schools on CBC. High schools on 8-4-4. Colleges on IGCSE. Every feature we build comes from conversations with the schools already on the platform.

Lesson Scheduling and the LMS are no different. Schools asked for them. We built them. They are live. That is the pace we work at.

  FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the new Lesson Scheduling module on Cloud School System?

Lesson Scheduling is a module that lets teachers plan, record, and track every lesson they deliver. Teachers log what was taught and mark lessons as complete. School leaders can see curriculum coverage per class, per subject, and per teacher in real time. It works on any device with internet access.

Does Cloud School System now have a Learning Management System (LMS)?

Yes. Cloud School System has launched a built-in LMS that lets schools create and publish assignments, quizzes, notes, and video lessons. Teachers can also build short courses, set them as paid or free, and share them with students or external learners. It is part of the existing platform with no separate login required.

How does the AI revision feature work for students?

When a student fails a quiz or assignment on the LMS, the built-in AI helps them revise. The AI looks at the specific questions the student got wrong and focuses the revision session on those areas. It is available at any time and does not require a teacher to be online.

Can Kenyan schools create paid online courses with Cloud School System?

Yes. The LMS module lets any teacher or department create a structured short course and set a price for it. Schools can offer paid courses to external learners outside the school. This gives schools a new way to earn from the knowledge and resources they already have.

Is Cloud School System suitable for CBC schools in Kenya?

Yes. Cloud School System supports CBC, 8-4-4, IGCSE, and ACE within the same platform. The Lesson Scheduling and LMS modules work across all curriculum types. Over 500 Kenyan schools currently use the platform, including private primary schools running CBC.
